Welcome to the website of Piedmont Triad Youth Bowling Boosters Inc. (PTYBB).
These Terms and Conditions (T&Cs) govern your use of our website at https://ptybb.org/, participation in our programs and events, and any donations or payments made to our organization. By accessing or using our website, registering for an event, or making a donation, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these T&Cs, you should not use our services or website.
1. Acceptance of Terms
PTYBB is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting youth bowling. These T&Cs constitute a legally binding agreement between you and PTYBB.
2. Program and Event Registration
A. Eligibility
Participation in PTYBB tournaments, leagues, and clinics is generally open to youth bowlers who meet the age and skill requirements specified for each program. By registering a participant, the parent or legal guardian confirms that the participant meets the eligibility criteria.
B. Payment of Fees
- All registration fees for tournaments, clinics, and leagues must be paid in full by the stated deadline.
-Payments are processed through secure third-party platforms (e.g., Stripe, PayPal, GoFundMe, tournament management systems). PTYBB is not responsible for any issues arising from the use of these platforms.
C. Refunds and Cancellations
- Program Fees: Refund policies for clinics, leagues, and tournaments ares specific to each event and will be clearly published on the registration form or event page.
-General Policy: Unless otherwise stated, all program fees are non-refundable after a specified cutoff date (e.g., within 7 days of the event start date) due to advanced commitments for lane reservations, prizes, and coaching expenses.
-PTYBB Cancellation: If PTYBB cancels an event for any reason, a full refund of the event fee will be issued to all registered participants.
3. Donations and Fundraising
A. General
PTYBB is a nonprofit organization. All donations made to PTYBB are non-refundable and are considered voluntary contributions to support our mission.
B. Tax Deductibility
Donations may be tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. PTYBB will provide a donation receipt for tax purposes. Consult with a tax professional for advice.
C. Use of Funds
PTYBB retains full discretion to use all donated funds to support its general operations,programs, and mission, unless the donation is explicitly restricted by the donor and accepted by the PTYBB Board of Directors for a specific purpose.
4. Conduct and Sportsmanship
All participants, parents, coaches, and spectators involved in PTYBB activities are required to adhere to a code of good sportsmanship, courtesy, and respect toward fellow bowlers, PTYBB staff, volunteers, coaches, and bowling center personnel.
-PTYBB reserves the right to refuse service or participation, or to remove any individual from an event, clinic, or league without a refund for conduct deemed inappropriate, disruptive, or harmful, at the sole discretion of the PTYBB Board or designated event director.
5. Website Use and Intellectual Property
A. Ownership
All content on the PTYBB website, including text, graphics, logos, images, photos, and program information, is the property of PTYBB or its content suppliers and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
B. Limited License
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the website for informational, non-commercial purposes related to PTYBB's mission.
C. Prohibited Use
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any content on this site without the express written permission of PTYBB.
6. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
A. No Warranty
The PTYBB website and its services are provided on an "as is"; and "as available" basis. PTYBB makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the website's operation or the information, content, or materials included on the site.
B. Participation Risk
Participation in youth bowling activities carries inherent risks. By registering a participant, the parent/guardian acknowledges and accepts these risks. PTYBB, its officers, directors, volunteers, and coaches are not liable for any personal injury or
property damage sustained during PTYBB-sanctioned activities, except in cases of gross negligence.
C. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall PTYBB be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages arising from the use of this website or participation in our programs.
7. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
8. Changes to the Terms
PTYBB reserves the right to update or modify these T&Cs at any time without prior notice. The revised T&Cs will be effective immediately upon posting on this page. Your continued use of the website and participation in our programs after any changes
constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
