Piedmont Triad Youth Bowling Boosters Inc. (PTYBB) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to keeping youth bowling fun, affordable, and rewarding. We rely on the support of our community, including donors, participants, and volunteers.

This Privacy Policy explains how PTYBB collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you interact with us through our website (https://ptybb.org/), during events, through donations (e.g., GoFundMe), or when making payments for our programs and tournaments.

Participant name, age, skill level, and emergency contact information (collected from parents/guardians).

To manage enrollment in clinics, leagues, and tournaments, and ensure participant safety.


Website & Usage Data

IP address, browser type, device information, and activity on our website (collected via cookies and analytics).

To improve website functionality, analyze traffic, and enhance user experience.


2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following primary purposes:

  • To Process and Acknowledge Donations: Including processing payments and providing tax-deductible receipts and acknowledgements.
  • To Manage Events and Programs: Registering participants for tournaments, clinics, and leagues, and communicating event logistics.
  • To Communicate: Responding to inquiries, sending newsletters, providing updates on PTYBB activities, and sharing news about youth bowling.
  • For Internal Operations: Analyzing our programs, financial reporting, fulfilling legal and regulatory requirements, and improving our services.

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

PTYBB does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third parties. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

  • Payment Processors: We use trusted third-party services (such as GoFundMe, Stripe, PayPal, or specific tournament management payment gateways) to process payments securely. Your payment information is provided directly to these processors, and their privacy policies govern the use of that information.
  • Service Providers: We may share information with vendors who perform essential functions on our behalf, such as website hosting, email communication services, and accounting. These vendors are contractually obligated to protect your information and use it only for the purposes for which we disclose it to them.
  • Legal Compliance: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, in response to a court order, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of PTYBB, its members, or others.

When you make a donation or payment through a third-party platform (e.g., GoFundMe, a specific tournament payment link), your transaction is subject to that platform's terms and privacy policy. While PTYBB receives the funds and associated donor information (like name and email), we encourage you to review the privacy practices of those platforms before submitting information.


5. Children's Privacy

PTYBB is dedicated to serving youth bowlers. We are committed to protecting the privacy of children.

  • We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under the age of 13 without verifiable parental consent.
  • Information collected about youth participants (names, ages, etc.) is provided to us by the parent or legal guardian for the sole purpose of program registration and safety.
  • If we learn we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without appropriate parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

6. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information.

  • Opt-Out of Communications: You can opt-out of receiving our email newsletters by using the unsubscribe link found at the bottom of every promotional email.
